During this 17 Days Arunachal Assam Cultural and wildlife tour, you will be exploring most part of Arunachal Pradesh. From Tawang to the far central east Menchuka. En route, you will have pit stop at different villages, from the Buddhist life in Tawang valley, Apatani tribe in Ziro valley to Nyishi tribes in Daporijo and Aalo (Along) and experience their cultural lifestyle. Also, amazing wildlife and safari adventure in the Kaziranga national park in Assam.

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport/railway station, your exciting adventure begins! Our representative will be there to escort you for the journey. From Guwahati, we will then drive to Nameri National park. Upon reaching, you will be ushered to your respective accommodation. After refreshment, booked for an afternoon boating ( level-I rafting) in the Jai Bhoroli river. You will see many migrating birds. In the evening, you can booked for the next morning trekking.
Note: Boating and other activity fees will be collected at the place itself for those who are interested.

Nameri Park: Nameri park is a National park in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur district of Assam, India. Nameri national park is famous for its elephants and other animals including tigers, leopards, gaurs, wild pigs, sambars, etc. and also for being a bird watchers paradise.
The river in Nameri is full of a variety of fish. The Forest Department here conducts fishing related activities. Golden Masheer Fish is the famous fish of this region and measures 3-9 feet. It is also known as “Tiger of the Himalayan rivers”.
The river rafting is also held at the south-east side of the park on river Jai Bharali. The rafting route is 13 km long and takes around 3 hours. A great, tiring and enjoyable experience.
In the morning, after trekking, we will continue our drive to Bomdila. En route, we visit Sessa orchid sanctuary, visit the Ethnographic Museum and Craft centre. Later check-in at accommodation. Rest of the evening at your own leisure to walk around the local market.

Bomdila: Bomdila is the headquarter of West Kameng district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. Located in the northwestern part of Arunachal Pradesh, Bomdila is one destination for your travellers. Well known for its refreshing fantastic environment with apple orchard and Buddhist monasteries. The serene paradise has plenty of places to see. It is a quaint town boasting of vibrant Tibetan heritage and culture and home to many Buddhist tribes. Also, many trekking trails are available in this region that will make the trip for adventure seeker worthy. It brings the spectacular view of verdant and snow-covered Himalayas. The weather condition is alpine here.
After breakfast, we will visit the Upper Gompa – The Gentse Gaden Rabgyal Monastery, and the lower gompa – one of the division of the upper gompa. After the visit, we will drive to Tawang. On the way, enjoy the view of Sela pass and sela lake. Stop at Nuranang waterfalls. Visit Jaswant Garh war memorial.
Arrive at Tawang and check in at the accommodation. Evening at your own leisure.

JaswantGarh War Memorial: Legend is that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee-Posthumous, of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place.
SelaPass : At 4170m(13700ft), the Sela Pass is snow-covered (full or partial) all through the year and has breath-taking mystic views. Close to the Pass is the beautiful Sela Lake, a heart-shaped lake chiselled between the mountains, which intensifies the beauty of the region. The Lake is mostly frozen in winter. The Sela Pass is the main route to access Tawang town and is located 78 km before reaching Tawang.
Nuranang Falls : The Nuranang falls (original name at 6000 feet) is located about 40 km before reaching Tawang is famed as one of the most stunning waterfalls in North East India. The falls height is about 100 meters. The legend about the waterfalls goes that it is named after a Monpa girl Nura who aided an Indian soldier during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
Today will be full tour day in and around Tawang. First we visit the famous Tawang monastery – also known as GadenNamgyalLhatse, founded by Merak Lama LodreGyatso in the year 1680-81. Visit Urgelling Monastery – The birthplace of Sixth Dalai Lama and then visit the Ani Gompa. Later after lunch, visit the Tawang war memorial.

Please note: Our vehicles are not allowed for Pangateng Tso Lake and Sungester Lake (also called Madhuri Lake) at Tawang. Hence, we have to organize to hire a local vehicle which our driver and guide will assist you. For this trip, the price will not be included on the package. If you are making this trip then, you must pay additional cost for hiring the vehicle which will be between 4500 INR – 5500 INR – depending on the places you visit, excluding Bumla border pass. This will be another extra day added to the tour.
Tawang: Tawang is a beautiful district in Arunachal Pradesh which has gained extensive popularity for its captivating sightseeing spots. From Gorichen Peak to Madhuri Lake, Nuranang Waterfalls and Sela Pass, the list of touristy places in Tawang is endless. Besides being famous for its natural splendour, Tawang is known for its 400-year old monastery, i.e., Tawang Monastery. It is a Buddhist Monastery and a prominent pilgrim centre among the locals. Another reason for the popularity of Tawang is its rich culture and traditions. A single visit to this place will introduce you to the old-age rituals of the local tribes.
Tawang Monastery:
Popularly known as Golden Namgyal Lhatse, Tawang Monastery is one of the key places to visit in Arunachal Pradesh. Being the second largest monastery in the world, it houses around 300 monks. It is perched amidst alluring Himalayan ranges from where one can relish the awe-inspiring views of Tawang-Chu Valley.
Tawang War Memorial:
Tawang War Memorial is a vibrant 40-feet tall structure dedicated to the martyrs of India-Sino War, 1962. The memorial overlooks the enticing valley of Tawang-Chu and is surrounded by snow-clad Himalayan peaks. If you wish to delve into the rich history of the town, War Memorial is a must-visit place for you.
After breakfast, we drive back to Dirang valley. Located in West Kameng district, this small hill station welcomes you with snow-capped mountains, gushing streams and verdant valleys.
We will visit the Sangti valley which is about 30mins off the Dirang village and later return to Dirang and settle at the accommodation.

Dirang: Dirang is a beautiful place to visit in Arunachal village. The verdant valleys, picturesque hills, the ubiquitous Dirang Chu river, fresh air, snow capped mountains with delightful landscape and perfect weather makes it one of the best hill station to visit.
Morning after breakfast, before driving to Bhalukpong, we will visit the Dirang National Research centre on Yak and the Dirand Dzong monastery.
Continue our journey, en route we stop by at the Sessa orchid sanctuary.
Later we arrive at Bhalukpong and settle at the accommodation. Evening relax.

Morning after breakfast, visit the Orchid research Centre, Tipi. Later we drive to Itanagar – the capital of Arunachal Pradesh.

Morning after breakfast, we will drive to Rupa – a quaint hill station 20km away from Itanagar. Visit the Rupa Monastery. Visit Shertukpen, a tribal village in the city and a unique way to experience the culture and lifestyle of locals.
If there is time, we will visit the Museum at Itanagar.
Later after lunch, we drive to Ziro valley.
Upon reaching Ziro, we check-in at accommodation.

Today will be full day at Ziro valley exploring villages of the Apatani tribe. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is tattooing on the women’s face and their nose plug. Also visit the Kile Pakho -a ridge where one can witness spectacular view of the contrasting landscape where on one side is the majestic Ziro valley plateau and on the other side is the majestic snow-capped Himalayan mountain. It is situated 7km away from Old Ziro.

After breakfast, we drive to Daporijo, visiting Nyishi village en route and stop for lunch along the way. Arrive at Daporijo.

After breakfast, early morning drive to Aalo. Visit Galo villages of Bora Rupak and other villages en route. Arrive at aaol and check-in at accommodation.

From Aalo, we drive to Menchuka. Stop by at Siko Dido waterfall. Have some refreshment and enjoy the nature. Reach Mechuka and check-in at accommodation. Evening at your own leisure.

Today will be full day exploring in and around Mechuka
Visit the Gurudwara and Taposthan. Visit Dzogchen samten Choeling Monastery (New Gompa), visit the Dorjeeling Village- Crossing the Yargepchur river, the Dorjeeling village is located about 5km from Mechuka town. This scenic village is worth a visit to embrace the picturesque surrounding landscapes.

Mechuka – Mechuka meaning ‘medicinal water of snow’ is a Buddhist Himalayan hamlet situated a mere 29kms from the Indo-Tibetan border, in the West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. It is home to the Memba, Ramo, Bokar, Lingbo, and Tagin tribes who have a strong cultural and historical connection with Lhasa, Tibet. With it’s vast meadows, snow-capped himalayan mountains, undulating brown hills, evergreen pine forest, graceful horses running wild, blue sky and rivers running through, Mechuka is indeed a visual extravagance. Enjoy the butter tea, red tea, Chang
(millet beer), Sen chang (rice beer),or Ara (local wine) and savour the fresh thukpa, momos etc.
After early morning breakfast, we will start our journey back from Mechuka to Aalo. This will be a long drive but the scenic surrounding will keep you at ease. Reach Aalo.

After breakfast, visit Kazu village – a village very closeby from Along. The place offers calm and quiet environment. Meet the locals to understand about their culture, art, and weving techniques, and then we drive to Pasighat. En route stop by at Pangin – Pagin is a small town en route Pasighat, located in Siang district. This beautiful and charming is worth a visit during this trip.Here you will see the meeting point of two prominent rivers, the River Siyom and River Siang. Later we continue our drive to Pasighta. Upon reaching, we check-in and accommodation and rest of the evening you can relax at your own leisure.

After breakfast, we drive to Dibrugarh – Dibrugarh is an important city in the stat of Assam in India. It is situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra river and is home to the famous Radha Krishna Mandir, a temple constructed almost completely out of a marble. We can visit this temple for those who are interested. Otherwise skip and visit the Naharkatia tea plantation and experience the brewing of tea and enjoying tasting sublime tea and see the local lifestyle.

All bookings are handled by The Exotic odyssey. In order to confirm the tour booking –
- A deposit of 50% of the total amount of the booking must be paid either by bank transfer or credit card within 7 days of the issuance of the booking confirmation. If the payment is not received within this time, the booking may be cancelled without notice.
- The remaining outstanding 50% balance is to be paid 30 days prior the departure of the tour by bank transfer or credit card payment.
- A delay in the payment of the balance may result in the cancellation of the booking and the company is not responsible for any charges incurred.
- 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees if cancellations are made 30 days before the start of the trip.
- 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees if cancellations are made between 15-30 days before the start of the trip.
- No refund i.e., 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees if cancellations are made 0-14 days before the start of the trip.
- In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such circumstances, the operator will try their best to provide an alternative feasible. However, a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

- There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
- Credit Cards / Traveler’s check are not freely accepted in many places.
- We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
- Woollen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.
- Any extra breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guest as per the hotel policy.
- The normal check-in time for a hotel is 12 PM, and normal check-out time for a hotel is 11 AM. However, this is subjected to change as per the hotel policies. The timing of meals and/or inclusions of a certain hotel room are as per the hotel policies.
- Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like change in flight and train schedule; cancellations of flight/trains, political disturbances, cause of natural phenomenon, other force majeure, etc. will not be accommodated in the cost.
- Consumption of alcohols and other intoxicants are at your own cost. We request you to be very minimal with such activities during your trip.
- The vehicle for sightseeing is available on an itinerary basis only, and will not be on disposal unless some cases of emergencies.

Foreign (International) Tourists
Arunachal Pradesh – Both Indian national and Foreigners visitors still require ILP permits. Some regions require Protected area Permit (PAP) for visit.
In a bid to boost tourism, the North East states of Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland all scrapped the requirement for Foreign Visitors to apply for a Protected Area Permit (RAP, PAP) on the 1st Jan 2011.
So for travel to Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, permits are not required for foreign passport holders.
Arunachal Pradesh – Visitors still require permits.
Sikkim – Visitors still require permits.
This relief is not applicable to citizens of Pakistan and China who still require permits to visit Nagaland.
Foreign tourists will still need to register themselves at the nearest local Police station upon their arrival to Nagaland.
Domestic (Indian) Tourists
An Inner Line Permit (ILP) is required for Indian (Domestic) tourists entry into Arunachal Pradesh.
Exception: Citizens of Pakistan, Bangladesh, China and foreign nationals having their origin in these countries will require prior approval from the Ministry of Home affairs before entering the state.
